WELCOME TO APOLLONIAN ARCHIVE !

find me on tumblr here and sometimes here.

“know thyself.” —— a maxim inscribed at the temple of apollo in delphi, often attributed to the god of light himself. it was one of 150 maxims inscribed in the vicinity of the sacred grounds, and one of three etched into the entrance. it is by far the most quoted, well-known, and relevant maxim, permeating several fields of knowledge and thought (history, philosophy, psychology, literature, and so on).

though heavily quoted and equally pondered, the true meaning is not entirely clear. from plato to kant, the greatest minds of humanity have proposed interpretations, but it is impossible to make certain what, exactly, knowing oneself entails. as an academic who sees their relationship to their studies as a spiritual experience, AND a longtime worshipper of apollo and the ideals he represents (knowledge, healing, sunlight), it is a personal imperative to understand myself. i meditate to observe my own mind and the ideas that flow through it, i exercise to strengthen my conscious presence in my body, and i write to make sense of the worlds that exist within my thoughts.

welcome, internet wanderer! you have stumbled upon one of my many digital homes: a living, breathing repertoire of my writing! this is less a portfolio and more so a dynamic ecosystem where all my thoughts shared on the internet overlap and connect. while you could certainly individually check out my profiles on various sites, this allows viewers to see how they all come together, inadvertently (or not) interacting with and influencing one another.

in addition, i will compile research notes and share journal spreads on occasion! thus, my phd studies are freely shared (or at least, the parts that i don't gatekeep prior to publishing). general musings that i transfer from my pocket notebook may appear every so often, too.
